Jentel Maquettes: In 2011, I was invited to be part of an Artist’s Residency called Jentel, located in Northern Wyoming 14 miles outside of Sheridan, WY. While there, I produced 10 maquettes responding to the nature around Jentel, which included 1,000 Acres of land including a steep hillside and rugged western terrain with red dirt and Sandstone rocks. I was fascinated with this landscape and the resulting works encapsulated my responses. Connecting with the land became an ongoing interest, and when I returned to Wyoming to attend another Artist Residency program at Buck Creek Ranch, (2013) I continued responding to the landscape.
