Off-Centered Consequences 1977 Wood/Aluminum 8’ diameter x 3’ Claremont Graduate School Gallery, Claremont, CA
This piece was in my Thesis Show for my MFA. The experience was like climbing a hill and suddenly after crossing the invisible center line of gravity, the piece’s weight and momentum rotated to make you feel like you were being kicked off. Resistance then an unstable jolt, forcing one to compensate to stay upright in space. The piece weighed about 250 Lbs.
Off-Centered-Consequences 1977. Wood/Aluminum. 8’ diameter x 3’. Also at SPAC Gallery, Seattle, WA
